Beta Data Use

Activity-First Trip Planner · aftp.ai · Effective: [PENDING ATTORNEY SIGN-OFF] — DRAFT, not yet in force (IP-02)

This page explains, in plain language, what participating in our beta driver program means for your data — in addition to, not instead of, our general Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Beta program participants must be 18 or older.

What's different for beta participants

Outside the beta, we never sell or share your data for advertising — see our Privacy Policy. For beta program participants specifically, we also use your trip-query and feedback data — excluding raw Tesla OAuth/state-of-charge telemetry, which stays scoped to trip planning per our Tesla Fleet API terms — in aggregate and de-identified form, for: (a) aggregated market-trend reports on EV road-trip patterns (popular routes, charging behavior, regional demand) licensed to third parties such as charging networks or automakers, and (b) internal product-improvement analytics. We will not use your data for any commercial purpose outside this list without seeking your renewed consent. This does not change our commitment to never sell or share your individually-identifiable personal data.

What "aggregate and de-identified" means

Your individual trips are never sold or shared as attributable to you. Your data is included in a commercial data product only once combined with at least 25 other participants' equivalent data, with identifying details (exact origin/destination, precise timestamps) generalized to city-level and week-level — a minimum-25 anonymity threshold. Our beta cohort alone (10-15 participants) is too small to meet this threshold; beta data is pooled with a larger population before any commercial export.

Your consent and how to withdraw it

Joining the beta program requires an explicit consent checkbox (see the beta intake questionnaire) separate from general Terms of Service acceptance. You may withdraw from the beta program at any time by emailing privacy@fortunaterra.com. Withdrawing stops further data collection immediately. Individual-level data not yet incorporated into a published aggregate is deleted within 30 days, per our standard erasure policy. Data already irreversibly combined into a published aggregate meeting the anonymity threshold above cannot be extracted or reversed, since it is no longer personal data at that point.

Status

This page and the underlying consent language are drafted, internally reviewed (Schneier/security-auditor sign-off complete 2026-07-29), and pending final attorney review (tracked as IP-02 in our GTM launch checklist). No beta data is collected under this policy until attorney review clears.
