Beta Data Use
This page explains, in plain language, what participating in our beta driver program means for your data — in addition to, not instead of, our general Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
What's different for beta participants
Outside the beta, we never sell or share your data for advertising — see our Privacy Policy. For beta program participants specifically, we also use your trip and usage data, in aggregate and de-identified form, for product improvement and for forward-looking commercial data products (for example, aggregated market insights sold to third parties). This is a narrow addition: it covers aggregate, de-identified data only. It does not change our commitment to never sell or share your individually-identifiable personal data.
What "aggregate and de-identified" means
Your individual trips are never sold or shared as attributable to you. Any commercial data product built from beta data combines and anonymizes information across many drivers so no single participant's data is identifiable.
Your consent and how to withdraw it
Joining the beta program requires an explicit consent checkbox (see the beta intake questionnaire) separate from general Terms of Service acceptance. You may withdraw from the beta program at any time by emailing privacy@fortunaterra.com. Withdrawing stops further collection of your data going forward, but does not retroactively remove data that has already been aggregated and de-identified, since it can no longer be traced back to you individually.
Status
This page and the underlying consent language are drafted and pending final attorney review (tracked as IP-02 in our GTM launch checklist). No beta data is collected under this policy until that review clears.
